help to clear 35's

just bought a 2003 2500hd. also bought 17x9 moto wheels. what do i need to do to clear 35x12.5x17's for the least amount of $. if it matters tires will be cooper stt's

You could run a 3" body lift and run ford keys to crank your torsion bars but its going to ride like a tank. 6" lift is the way to go.

because he probably doesnt want the tires tearind the f###n fenders off since chevys have the narrowest wheel openings of all the trucks, obviously you dont know ####. Your gonna need 6 inches of lift on that truck if you dont want any rubbing and dont want to cut anything. Im sure there will be some dipshit following this and say otherwise but i do this for a living and you will find out for yourself.

here is a picture of my truck with the same tires he is going to put on his 35" STT's, plus i have 2 inch drop shackles in the back. all i did was jack up the torsion bars a little, and cut the bottom plastic valance off about a 1/2 inch.

Let me help you out with this, that truck in the picture has stock wheels with a stock offset. Thats not what what this guy is putting on his truck, his wheels are a little wider and are going to stick out further. If you read what i wrote, i said you will need the lift if you dont want to cut anything and dont want any rubbing. With the wheels he is putting on his truck he will be cutting more than a little plastic. As for the truck in the picture, i bet it still rubs because i had the same truck with 17x9's and 33x12.50's with cranked torsion bars and it rubbed.
